Brrrrrrrrr!

Hello everyone!  This is Cassandra from Creating with Color by Cassandra.  Even though it's still way over 100 degrees in my neck of the woods, I have a chilly winter lake scene to share with you today.   :)

My card features the DoveArt Studios ~ Winter Lake.  This is the beautiful image that I colored for the recent holiday release and I thought I would share it with you again over here.  I colored it in with Copic Sketch Markers. It's a super fun image to color.  And it could easily be mass produced for Christmas Cards.  Just sayin'.   ;)

Country Porch

Hello and welcome back to DoveArt Studios!  Rhea here today to share some inspiration with Jennifer Dove's New Release Country Porch.

This was such a fun image to color up!  And really represents the area where I live so I felt like a was coloring a part of my small country town.  I admit I used a ton of Copic Colors for this I couldn't even begin to list them all.  I just went with what I was feeling and it was wonderful to lose myself in this amazing image.

Until next time....

Christmas with the Harvest Wreath

Hi Everyone,

Just popping in to share my project featuring the Harvest Wreath Rubber Stamp

I thought I would try water coloring the stamp and used my Derwent Inktense pencils. I love how vibrant they are but I definitely need practise!

I thought it would be fun to create a funky background so I used a Tim Holtz splatters stencil and inked it with distress inks layering up all the colours as I moved the stencil around and then I used a mini mister to wet it to help the colours mix and soften a little.

To tie it all together, I fussy cut around the image so I could pop it up, and then finished with a sentiment and a few little embellishments.

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to add the  Harvest Wreath Rubber Stamp to your wishlist for this year's Christmas cards!

Winter Lake

This image was super easy and fun to color up.  The perfect Christmas card I think because we can mass produce them.  I kept the layering simple for just that reason.  Thinking outside the box i brought in color combinations of blue, green, purple and a tad bit of peach.  Fun huh?!  This stamp is now available at CC Designs as well as your local stores.
